There are little to no extracurricular activities for the children in our town. Boredom and mindless roaming of the streets was the order of the day. Some of these underaged children were dragged into substance abuse and gangsterism.
The Kids Club was a welcome alternative for children 3 to 13 years of age. The safe space gave them the opportunity to socialise, build friendships, learn new skills and play. They were exposed to good values and given the ideal space to practice these values.
These children were given emotional and spiritual support as well as something to eat. Community members were invited to get involved with the feeding of these children.
